Annual Chili Cook-Off
February 24, 2024, 4:00pm to 6:00pm
Join Bates-Hendricks for the annual Chili Cook-Off, held at Point Comfort Underwriters in the historic Turnverein building (306 Prospect Street, west basement entrance)!
The competition gets hot as competitors vie for the titles of, "Best Red Chili", "Best White Chili", "Best Vegetarian Dish", and the coveted "Neighbors' Choice Award". Neighbors and friends can taste chili, enter a raffle entry for local goods, and place their vote for the "Neighbors' Choice" chili or dish. All ages are welcome! Drinks will be available for purchase.
Ticket Details
- Adult tickets are $5 in advance or $7 at the door
- Kids tickets are $3

Contestant Entry
Interested in entering the competition? A $15 entry fee includes unlimited tasting, a beverage of choice, a BHNA Koozie, and the chance to win bragging rights (along with a unique Bates-Hendricks cutting board). Limited competitor spots are available! Register today to secure your spot!
Event Timeline
- 3:45pm — Competitor arrival
- 4:00pm — The Cook-Off Begins!
- 4:15pm — Official Judging Begins
- 5:15pm — Deadline for "Neighbors' Choice" Votes
- 5:30pm — Announcement of Winners!
