Our neighborhood association and all of its committees, activities, and beautification efforts are volunteer-powered. We know you're busy — we all are — but nothing gets done without help.Be part of the Bates-Hendricks thriving community and lend your time to serve on one (or more) of our committees or help maintain our public green spaces.
If none of that interests you, but some other initiative does, reach out to us! Or, if you simply don't have the time to put in, consider donating to us to help us achieve our goals.

Committees
These neighborhood-led groups focus on specific areas of interest to improve the neighborhood and need your support to keep going! Meeting times and locations are listed on our calendar. Send an email if you have any particular questions about a committee.Beautification
The Beautification Committee is now a part of the Quality of Life Committee, but continues to organize cleanups and other green space maintenance in the neighborhood.
This is an easy way to contribute to the neighborhood without making a regular commitment.

Events
The Events Committee plans events for the neighborhood, including our annual
Chili Cook-Off, Street Fest,
holiday festivities, and more.
We are always looking for help with event planning, event setup and teardown, and running events the day of.

Land Use
The Land Use Committee considers zoning, development, and property issues in the neighborhood, with the goal of
ensuring peaceful co-existence among residents and businesses.
Marketing
The Marketing Committee works to promote Bates-Hendricks, both within and outside the neighborhood.
The committee is involved in maintaining the website, generating social media content, producing brochures,
and creating t-shirts and other apparel items.
Quality of Life
The Quality of Life Committee addresses ways to improve the appearance and quality of developments in the neighborhood
to the benefit of all community members. It also includes beautification efforts, particularly in our existing
green spaces.
